Your retreat experience

Our seven-night, eight-day retreat programme combines surfing, yoga and wellness activities, with a range of meditation and fitness sessions alongside them.

Surfing

Bali offers a good spread of waves within close reach of the retreat, suited to every level, and our location keeps the time spent getting to and from the water to a minimum.

Surfing is built into the wider programme rather than treated as a separate activity, so the day moves between surf sessions, yoga and wellness activities at a comfortable pace.

Our instructors have years of experience and genuine local knowledge, with personalised coaching and daily photo and video reviews to help you progress.

Yoga

Daily yoga is led by Captain Bingo, who brings more than 30 years of international teaching experience across several different styles. Each session is designed to support both your surfing and your wider week.

Whether you are completely new to yoga or have an established practice, sessions are adapted to where you are rather than run from a fixed script.

Wellness

Wellness runs through the week alongside surfing and yoga: guided personal-growth discussions, journaling, a sauna and ice bath recovery experience, nourishing meals, and massage therapies.

Together these are designed to support body and mind, with tools that carry on being useful after the week ends.

Meditation

We explore several styles of meditation so you can find the one that suits you. These sessions are built into the course, with the tools and guidance to support your mental well-being over the longer term.

Whether you are new to meditation or looking to deepen an existing practice, the sessions work for all levels, with a focus on mindfulness and emotional resilience.

Fitness

A range of fitness activities runs alongside the rest of the week: HIIT sessions in the callisthenics gym, surf skating on the half-pipe, and a sports studio with a full range of equipment.

The outdoor callisthenics gym has parallel bars, gymnastic rings and more for bodyweight work, alongside the pool for recovery, a table tennis table, and a basketball court.

Sample 7-night/8-day retreat course

A week here balances surf, yoga, wellness and social time, with the days planned to leave room for relaxation as well as activity, and flexible enough to adapt to what you want from the week.

As a sunrise surf and yoga retreat, the first surf session or yoga class starts early, making the most of an activity-filled day. The daily schedule is designed around the changing conditions of the ocean, to get the best from the surf while still offering plenty for those who choose not to surf.

After mornings of yoga, surfing and S.L.O.W. breakfasts and lunches, afternoons turn to wellness discussions and activities built around self-reflection: exploring happiness, peace, well-being and personal resilience. From there you can take an afternoon yoga or fitness session, or simply relax, have an on-site massage, and unwind before the group comes together for dinner and an evening social or cultural activity.

The schedule adapts to you. If you want to surf more or less, that is not a problem; we adjust the balance to suit.

Day 1

9:00 am: Go surfing (single or double session) or join a HIIT class

2:00 pm: Journaling- discussions overview and goal setting

4:00 pm: Afternoon restorative yoga

5:00 pm: Ice bath & sauna recovery session

6:00 pm: Group dinner & sunset at a lively Uluwatu cliffside venue

Day 3

6:00 am: Sunrise surf or morning flow yoga

8:30 am: Breakfast

9:00 am: Go surfing or join a breathwork session

12:00 pm: Surfing presentation

1:00 pm: Lunch

2:00 pm: Journaling- Gratitude

4:00 pm: Afternoon therapeutic yoga

5:30 pm: Eco evening-walk to cliff-front eco-resort for dinner & sunset

Day 4

6:00 am: Sunrise surf or Vinyasa yoga

8:30 am: Breakfast

9:00 am: Go surfing or Enjoy a Balinese Hot Stone Massage

12:00 pm: Lunch

1:00 pm: Journaling- Four Agreements

3:00 pm: Afternoon Yin yoga & meditation

4:30 pm: Uluwatu temple & Kecak dance

7:00 pm: Group dinner at an Indonesian Restaurant

Day 5

6:00 am: Sunrise surf or flow yoga

8:30 am: Breakfast

9:00 am: Go surfing or join a Meditation

12:00 pm: Lunch

12:30 pm: Journaling- Ikigai

3:00 pm: Sound dome healing & spa experience

5:00 pm: Ice bath & sauna recovery session

6:30 pm: Group dinner & sunset at cliffside land & sea restaurant

Day 6

6:00 am: Sunrise surf or intensive yoga

8:30 am: Breakfast

9:00 am: Go surfing (single or double session) or Enjoy a yoga swing inversion session

1:00 pm: Lunch

2:00 pm: Journaling-Four Key Mindsets

4:00 pm: Afternoon Yoga Nidra

5:00 pm: Ice bath & sauna recovery session

6:00 pm: Group dinner in Bingin

7:00 Live music and drinks at a lively local venue

Day 7

6:00 am: Sunrise surf or Vinyasa yoga

8:30 am: Breakfast

9:00 am: Go surfing (single or double session) or join a HIIT class

2:00 pm Journaling- Mindset summary

4:00 pm: Afternoon yin yoga

5:30 PM: Group dinner & sunset at a cliffside Italian restaurant 

Day 8 

6:00 am: Morning Hatha yoga

7:00 am: Breakfast

7:30 am: Go surfing Or join a breathwork session 

10:00 am: Course conclusion discussion

There is more than enough across the week to keep you busy, but it is worth pacing yourself rather than trying to do everything, which would be exhausting, and joining every surf and yoga session every day simply is not realistic. Listen to your body, take some time by the pool, and make the choices that keep the week balanced.
